## How pricing works

Price is set by your number of **active contacts** — anyone in your email platform marked active, or who visited your site, bought something, or held a subscription or open deal in the last 30 days. Anonymous website visitors do not count.

Contacts are billed in units of 10,000. The first unit is included in the base price:

### What is an "Active" contact?

Active contacts are any contacts in your ESP that are marked as “active,” have visited your website, made a purchase, or have an active subscription or deal in the last 30 days.

_Anonymous visitors to your website do not count as active contacts._

### How long does it take to get started?

Every marketing setup is different, but we generally see it takes about 10 minutes to get all your tools connected, and then another 10 to 15 minutes to get the pixel installed on your website.

And if you need help, we’ll get on a call with you and walk through all the steps during your **onboarding data setup call**.

### Can I change plans at any time?

Yes! Simply click on the “Account” tab on your dashboard to see your options.

### Will I be stuck in a long-term contract?

Nope. There are no long-term contracts with SegMetrics. You pick if you want monthly or annual billing, and you can cancel at any time.

### How are you different from other analytics tools?
