SegMetrics is a marketing analytics platform that’s focused on making marketing optimization a snap for digital marketers — now with 85% less pivot tables.

We’re passionate about enabling digital marketers to better understand their leads, and more easily optimize their marketing funnels. We believe that marketers should have the best tools at their fingertips, and not need a degree in advanced statistics to make actionable marketing decisions.

We’re looking for someone with a background in marketing or marketing technology to take ownership and guide our content strategy by creating engaging content to help digital marketers work smarter optimizing their marketing funnels.

This is a full-time, remote position with a flexible schedule during main US business hours.


About the Role

As a Content Strategist at SegMetrics you’ll be the driving force behind all our digital marketing initiatives. You will strategize, create, promote and publish.

You’ll develop, implement, track and optimize digital campaigns across multiple platforms. You’ll own all of our marketing channels and measure their success. You’ll be in charge of creating a digital marketing strategy that supports our overarching business goals. Ideally, all this will result in acquisition, retention and loyalty of customers. You’ll work together with our team to craft beautiful and compelling stories for campaigns. Ultimately, as Content Strategist, you’ll make sure our message reaches our target audience so that SegMetrics can enter the next stage of growth. 

So, what will you do at SegMetrics?

  • Design, generate, publish and distribute engaging content (blog posts, case studies, webinars and more)
  • Own our content roadmap, including managing the content calendar
  • Monitor content metrics to assess performance
  • Regularly audit content to identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure that pages and marketing materials are constantly on brand
  • Suggest and implement creative new ways to reach our audience
  • Creating and managing relationships with external content creators and partners

This might be for you if you have…

  • Experience at writing conversion-oriented copy for marketing pages and emails
  • Experience with publishing on WordPress (Elementor) 
  • You’re highly creative and can identify target audiences and devise digital campaigns that engage and convert.
  • The ability to deliver, along with a strong attention to detail
  • You have a working knowledge of Google Ads and social media advertising.
  • You see exciting marketing possibilities in new technologies and emerging trends.
  • Can think strategically and are strong at implementing
  • Growth mindset and a positive attitude

You probably aren’t the one we’re looking for if:

  • You haven’t worked in the marketing field in the past
  • You’re not a self-driver, or are uncomfortable taking charge of projects and seeing them through to completion
  • You don’t work well with project managers or deadlines
  • You don’t work well through asynchronous communication channels like Slack
  • You are anti-marketing / feel that pixel tracking is an abomination for the web (We don’t disagree, but it helps to not hold our customers in contempt)

Even though our developers are right a lot, it’s okay to make mistakes here. Exploration and calculated risks are vital to velocity and growth. We freely admit when we’re wrong. If something doesn’t go as expected, we learn, bounce back, and make corrections.

You won’t be alone; others will be there to help, review, reassure, and back you up. We own our processes and collective outcomes as a team.

Live Where You Want

We’re a distributed team, so you can live and work wherever you want, as long as it’s somewhere in that overlaps with US timezones, and you’re able to travel to conferences and client meetings if necessary. Proximity doesn’t influence productivity. Just make sure you have a reliable internet connection.

No Crazy Hours

We want everyone to have a full life outside of SegMetrics. We seldom work more than 40 hours per week. There have been rare occasions where things got a little crazy, and people logged some extra hours. But then they took additional time off to balance it all out. We work hard and smart, but we’re in this for the long haul; there’s no need to go crazy on the hours. We focus on what we get done, not how long you can sit in a chair.
