Keith and the team over at SegMetrics have a few different go-to lead magnet strategies for their clients.
One of my favorite strategies I read about was using multiple-choice quizzes, and requiring leads to submit their email in order to view the results.
According to the SegMetrics team, we can expect optin rates of 50~60% on quiz optin pages. Most people who invest the time to take a quiz will want to follow up on their results to feel like they’ve gotten something good out of it.
If a user learns something new and useful about themselves, that bodes well for your brand’s first impression. And a results page or email is a bonus opportunity to slip in a sales CTA at the end.
Combining a quiz with Infusionsoft tags also has the added benefit of segmenting leads into categories that can inform your marketing. For instance, imagine your business sells online guitar lessons, and your quiz determines how advanced users are. Your tone and messaging will probably vary a lot between leads tagged with “Expert” or “Beginner.”
