Have you been wondering how long it actually takes to see a return on your ad spend? Time to profitability can have a huge impact on your marketing. But don’t you worry, today we’re about to crack this mystery wide open.

Understanding the time it takes to see a return on your ad spend is a must for any marketing strategy. It’s not just about spending money to get leads, it’s about knowing when that investment becomes profitable. 

Traditionally, putting the pieces together has been a challenge for any long term sales funnel, and most tools will only leave you with fragmented data, leaving you to connect the dots manually. This is where a more integrated approach becomes essential. You want a tool that will seamlessly integrate with all of your various data sources, leaving you with a comprehensive view of your customer journey, from click to revenue generation, no matter how long that sales cycle is. This type of clarity will ultimately lead to smarter, more effective marketing decisions.

Going into our advertising report lets us see how many of our leads are clicking on our ads, and how much revenue they’re generating after the ad is clicked. To find out our ROI, we’re going to create monthly cohorts by seeing people who clicked this month, last month, the month before that, and the month before that. Then we see how long it takes until those people give us positive ROI. Then we can send these to a dashboard to keep them top of mind.

By pinpointing which advertising channels are yielding the quickest ROI, you can confidently direct more funds there and ensure that your marketing dollars are working effectively. The flip side, channels with slower ROI might need a strategy overhaul or a pause to evaluate their effectiveness.
