Updated Tracking Snippet

Keith Perhac
Founder @ SegMetrics

The SegMetrics tracking snippet is now more powerful and easy to use.

It still collects the same core Optin Values and Journey Values to enrich your customer data. The difference is that minimal setup is now required!

Note: Your existing snippets will be automatically updated, so you don’t need to make any changes. The following info is so you know the new possibilities.

The changes should prevent some potential headaches, while giving you a new set of opportunities for measuring your marketing funnels.

Here’s what’s new:

Update Settings Automatically

Added a new site into your funnel? Changed some settings? Now, you no longer need to customize the snippet on each site you use. Install once, and SegMetrics automatically updates the tracking snippet settings on every page.

Improved tracking on secondary platforms

We have improved the performance on sites you might be using such as WebinarJam and EverWebinar, to remove potential tracking issues.

Full web tracking

Users on our Business or Enterprise plan can record the referral source from any site on any page, even without a UTM or ad ID.

Easy iframe recording

Cross domain tracking for embedded iframes is directly supported, so you can easily collect data on touchpoints such as embedded forms.

Change your email system

If you have been considering changing your marketing automation platform, SegMetrics can now easily handle it without requiring snippet changes.

The full details of each change can be found in our documentation.
If you have any questions about how the new snippet might impact your tracking, then please them to support@segmetrics.io.
